2005 Treasure Hunting

Summer 2005: Gold fever! George and Tim and Rick out looking for treasure. At the end of our first season, George and Tim found all of the items pictured. The finds included over $60 of coins in face value, about twenty-five silver coins (2 silver dollars and two silver halves), 100 wheaties, some buffalo nickels, five rings (gold and silver plated), several engraved items from Anaconda, military buttons, silverware, trade tokens, toy cars, brass casings, bullets, a copper arrowhead, a turquoise and copper necklace, a solid silver belt buckle, a silver horse bridle tip, and many other items dating back to at least 1883 (Indian Head penny). The lead bar pictured contains many .22 bullet impact impressions and reverse images of a barber quarter and a nickel from 1899. The coins were never found, but are sure to have bullet holes in them...
