9/30/2004: Two black bears wandered into Anaconda on the last day of September. A 250 or 300 pound male sat in a tree all day at the park, and a cub came down from the "A" hill and paid a visit to the library and climbed a telephone pole. He came within 3 blocks of our house. I believe the cub was captured and the big bear left later that night...
